Marine day is coming up on July 14! "Join CRD Regional Parks naturalists and guests for this celebration of our precious marine environment. See what creatures scuba divers bring up from the deep, see live displays, join in a beach seine, guided walks and more! Drop by anytime between 10am and 1pm. Be prepared to get your feet wet (bring sandals or beach shoes). Meet on the main beach off Metchosin Road." - CRD Parks Come celebrate marine life at both Tower Point and Witty’s Lagoon Regional Park from 10 am to 1 pm!
Marine Day / Metchosin Biodiversity Day 2018 TUESDAY JULY 14 Schedule of Activities (10:00 am to 1:00 pm) Main Beach • 10:00 am to 1:00 pm Tide pool Exploration Ongoing throughout the day – at tide pools next to the blue tent on the beach • 10:00 am to 10:30 am Beach Plant Walk (Habitat Acquisition Trust) Meet at the Habitat Acquisition Trust blue tent near picnic tables • 10:30 am to 11:30 am Joel Ussery - Estuary Walk (Metchosin Biodiversity) Meet at the Metchosin Biodiversity blue tent near picnic tables • 11:00 am to 12:00 pm Beach Seine Meet at the blue tent on the beach • 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm Andy MacKinnon - Witty’s Forest Walk (Metchosin Biodiversity) Meet at the Metchosin Biodiversity blue tent near picnic tables Tower Point • 10:00 am to 1:00 pm Scuba Divers and Subtidal Creatures ALL DAY The divers will emerge at approximately 10:30 am and creatures will be on display until approximately12:30 pm • 10:00 am to 1:00 pm Self-Guided Tide pool Exploration ALL DAY Ongoing throughout the day Sign up to volunteer at the HAT booth: This email address is being protected from spambots.
