Conservation Connection is a project that brings together conservation groups in the CRD. This project has two components, the Conservation Connection Forum, and the Conservation Connection website.
The 2011 Forum will be September 30th at Royal Roads University, with a great line-up of speakers and topics, including keynote Bob McDonald, host of CBC's Quirks & Quarks. More information about this year's Forum can be found at http://hat.bc.ca/blog/5-admin/201-conservation-connection-is-back-2011-forum-announed.html.
You can also go straight to the registration page at Royal Roads University website link in the right hand column.
Conservation Connection Forum: Friday September 30th, 2011
The 2011 COnservation connection forum is scheduled for Friday September 30, at Royal Roads University.

Conservation Connection Website
The Conservation Connection website profiles organizations working in the CRD. It shows their mandate, current and completed projects, fundraising initiatives, contact information, and volunteer needs. There is also a calendar of events to help everyone stay on top of all of the great conservation events in our region! There are now over 90 organizations listed and the site is used constantly by volunteers, the public, government, and other organizations. In fact, the project is so popular that HAT has made the web coding available to Youth for Global Change and Stewardship Canada. We've also sent copies of the profiles to municipal councillors, public libraries, and senior secondary schools.
