It has been a few years since the last time HAT convened our Conservation Connections Forum (CCF), and we are excited to announce that we are in the early stages of planning the 2021 event. The CCF has always been a space where conservation organizations from around Southern Vancouver Island and the Southern Gulf Islands, and BC, come together to discuss our work, share our successes, explore challenges, and connect around our shared experiences. Our intention for this year’s Forum (even though it will be online) is to focus on a topical question: How can conservation contribute to Indigenous reconciliation through trust-based partnerships on the territories on Southern Vancouver Island?
To help guide HAT through the organizing process, and to make sure that the Forum comes together in a way that is respectful of Indigenous ways, and to ensure that we are cultivating an inclusive, opened, and ethical space, HAT is looking to identify an Indigenous facilitator who might be this guide.
We are looking for proposals on what this facilitation would look like to you and for details please see the-- Call for Applicants --and please share with anyone you know who might be a great fit for this position. This is a fixed-term contract, beginning as soon as the candidate can be identified and concluding after the forum.
